If Crazy Eddie was insane, then we've gone completely mad. On Sunday evening, December 4, from 5:30-8:30, EndTheMadness is sponsoring a game event with pizza in conjunction with the Young Israel of Kew Gardens Hills. By now you've come to expect that our events are ridiculously low-priced, but this time we've topped even our own standards -- the first 60 singles who make a reservation (30 men and 30 women) will be admitted to this event for FREE! In other words, we are paying for you to eat our pizza, play our games, and basically have a great time. No joke, no gimmick. Why in the world are we doing this? ETM has organized 3 game events to date, and we have found that they provide an excellent opportunity for people to have a good time in a relaxed setting, while meeting new people. However, we have also found that observant singles (particularly women) tend to shy away from game events because they do not believe they will have a good time. Perhaps they have had bad experiences at other events, or perhaps they expect it to be an awkward scene. Whatever the case may be, I am so sure that you or someone you know will have a good time at this event that I'm willing to treat you to it. I'm challenging you to give it a try at our expense. If you find that it's really not your thing, no problem. But I'm betting that you'll have such an enjoyable time that you'll want to come back for future events -- and tell your friends about it, too. It so happens that two singles who met at our first game event (Tu B'av, 5764) were married a short time ago. Now, we don't make any outlandish promises like so many others, and this event is not intended to be a singles event, with all the inherent pressures and expectations -- in fact, this event is open to the entire community. We believe that there is value in meeting people even if you don't plan on marrying them. It always helps to increase one's networking possibilities and to become a more active part of the community. And everyone can use a fun night out in a kosher setting. Again, only the first 60 singles who make a reservation will receive this special FREE offer. Everyone else, single and married, will be admitted at the very reasonable price of $6, which includes pizza, soda, and an evening of games in fine company.
