RABBI SHLOMO HOCHBERG


“Halachic Myths and Realities of Dating

 


Rabbi Hochberg is the Rabbi of the Young Israel of Jamaica Estates and the Vice President of the RCA. He is also the Mashgiach Ruchani at Stern College, and often gives schmoozes to students about dating and marriage. In addition, Rabbi Hochberg is a member of the Va’ad Harabonim of Queens and a contributor to the OU Torah Insights Project.

 

 


RABBI DALE POLAKOFF


“The Roles of Rabbi and the Community in Implementing Solutions”


Rabbi Dale Polakoff graduated from Yeshiva University in 1979 with a BA in Psychology and received Semicha from RIETS in 1982. His first rabbinic position was as assistant Rabbi at Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun, where he also served as a faculty member of the Rabbi Joseph Lookstein Upper School of Ramaz. In 1988 Rabbi Polakoff became Rabbi of the Great Neck Synagogue, and a faculty member of the North Shore Hebrew Academy. Rabbi Polakoff currently serves as President of the Rabbinical Council of America.

 

 


DR. ALIZA DWORKIN FROHLICH


“Teaching Socialization Skills to Our Teenagers in Today’s Orthodox World”

 


Dr. Frohlich has a Master’s Degree in Jewish Education from Yeshiva University’s Azrieli Graduate School, a Master’s Specialist Degree in Psychology from Queens College, and a Doctorate in School and Child Clinical Psychology from Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graudate School.  She has spent the past 7 years as a School Psychologist and a Judaic Studies instructor at Hillel Yeshiva High School.  Dr. Frohlich is also President of the Yeshiva Counseling Network and a Board Member of the New Jersey Association of Jewish Day Schools, which services children with special needs and provides staff and curriculum development.
