EndtheMadness proudly announces its Second Annual Summer Shabbaton in Lawrence! WHEN: Shabbos weekend, August 11-12, Parshat Ekev WHERE: Congregation Beth Sholom, Lawrence, NY (We will be eating meals with Beth Sholom families as well as with families from other neighborhood shuls). AGE RANGE: 24-32 COST: $25 per person This Shabbaton will follow the same format as the very successful ETM Shabbatons that were held in Stamford, CT, West Hempstead, NY, and Teaneck, NJ this past year. The program will be integrated into the regular Shabbos activities at the shul. Attendees will eat Shabbos meals in groups of six (three males and three females) at the homes of hosts in the community, creating a more relaxed and enjoyable weekend. On Shabbos afternoon, there will be some rest time, a walk to a local park, shiur, and interactive discussion at the shul, followed by mincha, shalosh seudot, and maariv. We are also planning another great Motzei Shabbos activity to be announced soon! Lawrence is a very hospitable community, and the members of the shul are eager to participate in this program. The Shabbaton will be strictly limited to an exclusive group of 48 great Orthodox singles, who will be carefully screened beforehand. Once we hit the limit, we will be forced to turn away reservations, which must be prepaid to guarantee a spot. Many attendees of our previous Shabbatons have already signed up.
