Body: Thank you Chanaya. I was so dumbfounded by the past post I wasn't sure where to start an answer. All I can say is that I found a heter to go mixed swimming. As long as the pool is crowded you can swim with men or women. What, have you never heard of the Halachic concept of Ba'tall B'shishim? ;)
Have a great Yom Tov,
Zevi A.

Gosh, I don't even know where to begin. How about you tell us where YOU think "mares ayin" is actually a halachic consideration. When does "mares ayin" end and "mind your own business" begin? Is the concept so broad that one should not post a message on this web site with his name because it's "mares ayin" to use the Internet? Is it so broad that all Jews should dress exactly the same? Think exactly the same? Be exactly the same? Please do some research on this topic before criticizing people for taking their dates someplace original.

It is hard to stop worrying what everyone else think if you heard about the halachic concept of "mares ayin" (do not do something, because it looks like...)!
