RABBI JONATHAN ROSENBLATT

“The Search for a Shidduch: It Doesn’t Have To Be This Way!

 

Rabbi Rosenblatt is the Senior Rabbi of the Riverdale Jewish Center. He has been active in a wide range of community and charitable causes, with special interests in the needs of children and the training and mentoring of young Rabbis. He is an instructor in the RIETS Rabbinic training program and programs in Israel that train Rabbis for the Diaspora.  Rabbi Rosenblatt is an alumnus of the UJA-Federation National Young Leadership Cabinet—the first Orthodox Rabbi to serve on it—and has served on the New York UJA-Federation committees on Strategic Planning, Unity and Diversity, and the Commission on the Jewish People. He has lectured worldwide, and serves as a vice president of the Rabbinical Council of America.

 

 

MIRIAM WIETSCHNER, MSW, CSW, ACSW

“Parents and Children: Balancing the Involvement in the Dating Process”

 

Miriam Wietschner is a psychotherapist with a private practice on the Upper West Side.  She received her training from the Fordham Graduate School of Social Services, and earned her Certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from the Long Island Consultation Center.  She has a Master's in Social Work, and supervises school counselors and family therapists at Counter-Force, a division of Torah u'Mesorah.

 

 

DR. SCOTT GOLDBERG

“Improved Communication: Making Dating Fun Without Making It Frivolous”

 

Dr. Goldberg is an Instructor at Yeshiva University’s Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration and Stern College for Women.  He completed his Ph.D. in Applied Psychology at New York University.  He holds an M.S.Ed. in Special Education from Bank Street College of Education in New York and a B.A. in Jewish Studies from the University of Chicago.  Dr. Goldberg is a licensed Reading Specialist and Learning Disabilities Teacher – Consultant.  In addition, Dr. Goldberg consults with parents and schools nationally and internationally concerning social, emotional, and learning issues.

 

 

This event is open to singles and married people of all ages and backgrounds.  Light refreshments and informal networking to follow the main event.
